On June 1, 2016, the british Minister of Life Sciences, Mr George Freeman was welcomed at the Institut du Cerveau – ICM by Alexis Brice, Managing Director of the Institut du Cerveau – ICM and the IHU-A-Institut du Cerveau – ICM.

On this occasion, the Minister also met Alexis Génin, Head of the Research Applications Directorate, and visited two iPEPS – Institut du Cerveau – ICM incubator start-ups : Brain eNOVATION and Bioserenity.

George Freeman is the minister of Life Sciences whose folders are shared between the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Skills. He has 15 years of experience in hospital sectors, patents and biomedical research.

During this meeting, Minister Freeman and Professor Brice exchanged views on the model and organisation of the Institut du Cerveau – ICM as well as on research and development issues, Big Data, relations with industry and accelerated access to innovative product markets.
