Jean Lorenceau and others researchers at The Brain and Spine Institute (Institut du Cerveau – ICM) in Paris have recently built a new gear. Thanks to their work, the user is now able to draw lines, to write letters, numbers or other symbols using only their look. This technique is made effective by an “oculometer” and a computer screen.
One of the first technical application of this system could be a real help brought to injured people who can no longer move their arm and hands in order to write. This revolutionary approach could significantly make their way of life better.
