Biography

I have been a senior lecturer in the Neurosurgery Department at La Pitié-Salpêtrière since 2015. I was a neurosurgery resident in Paris from 2003 to 2009 then chief of clinic at Beaujon and later at La Pitié-Salpêtrière from 2011 to 2015. I specialized in the surgical management of peripheral nerve tumors, including schwannomas and neurofibromas, and in the treatment of aggressive forms of meningiomas. My scientific training started with a Master 2 in 2005-2006 at the Gustave Roussy Institute (dir. Jacques Grill - Pr Gilles Vassal's team) on pediatric intracranial ependymomas and continued with a PhD from 2009 to 2013 (dir. Michel Kalamarides - Pr Jessica Zucman-Rossi's team) on mouse models of meningiomas. Since my arrival at the Paris Brain Institute in 2013, I have been working on the creation of new mouse models of meningiomas, especially hormone-dependent, and on the human genetics of these tumors.

Research work

My research program is centered on benign brain malformations and tumors, in particular cavernomas, meningiomas and schwannomas. My work focuses on the molecular biology of these tumors and the creation of genetically modified mouse models to understand the initial mechanisms of tumorigenesis and progression.
