Aurélie HANIN
PharmD, PhD
Team “Dynamics of Epileptic Networks and Neuronal Excitability”
Biography
Dr Hanin is a pharmacist and neuroscientist who trained both at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital (Paris, France) and Yale School of Medicine (New Haven, CT, USA). Her primary research interests relate to epilepsy, specifically to status epilepticus and New-Onset Refractory Status Epilepticus (NORSE). Her research projects aim to:- identify new biochemical biomarkers for the diagnosis of status epilepticus, monitor patients during their hospitalization, and predict their short- and long-term outcomes.
- identify novel pathophysiological mechanisms linked to the consequences of status through both targeted and untargeted analyses conducted in animal models and biospecimens from patients with status epilepticus
- characterize the immune dysregulations that trigger the onset or consequences of NORSE
